Which African countries are travellers most interested in visiting for a safari? The data from
Go2Africa’s latest report shows a clear picture: South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania remain the backbone of safari demand - together accounting for 64% of enquiries in 2025.
But momentum is building beyond the traditional favourites. This is a safari market that is evolving, not concentrating.
While established destinations continue to lead in safari demand, we’re seeing meaningful growth in places like Botswana, alongside rising interest in emerging and lesser-explored destinations such as Madagascar and Malawi.
This shift reflects growing confidence among travellers - not just in Africa’s iconic safari experiences, but in the depth, diversity, and quality of what the continent has to offer. At ATTA, we’re proud to support, connect and champion the businesses expanding that map - ensuring that as interest grows, opportunity flows across both established and emerging destinations.
