π€ Rest in peace, Baraka. π¦
Today, we mourn more than the loss of a magnificent black rhino at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
We mourn a life that carried the weight of a species, a symbol of resilience, and a reminder of how preciousβand fragileβour wild heritage truly is.
Baraka may be gone, but his story remains in every footprint left behind, every photograph taken, every conservationist who stood watch, and every person who was fortunate enough to witness his presence.
The wild has lost one of its greats.
But his legacy must not be lost with him.
May his passing remind us that conservation isn't simply about protecting animals we admire. It is about protecting a world we may never get back once it is gone.
Sleep peacefully, Baraka. π€π¦
You were more than a rhino. You were part of Kenya's story.
