Open Plains: Vast, dry savannahs dominate much of the park, dotted with acacia trees and swaying grasses—ideal for spotting large herds of elephants.

Swamps and Marshlands: Surprisingly lush areas fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro, supporting hippos, buffalo, and a variety of water birds.

Lake Amboseli: A seasonal, shallow lake that often appears as a dry, salty pan but can fill with water after heavy rains.
