Alligator or crocodile—would you know the difference? 🐊

Alligators typically have broader, U-shaped snouts and darker coloring, while crocodiles tend to have narrower, V-shaped snouts with more visible teeth when their mouths are closed.

This alligator was spotted here in the United States, but its crocodile relatives can be found across parts of Africa—including some of the waterways we explore on safari.

Different continents. Different species. Same prehistoric presence.

Just hanging around in Rwanda 🦍

This young mountain gorilla turned the bamboo shoots into its own jungle gym—swinging, climbing, and playing while the rest of the family relaxed nearby.

At Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, orphaned elephant calves are cared for, rehabilitated, and given the chance to one day return to the wild.

Watching these young elephants rush in for their bottles is equal parts joyful and unforgettable—and a powerful reminder of the conservation work happening across northern Kenya.
