THE TRUE CRADLE LAND OF MANKIND

A weekend in the North is worthy a year in the south. You just harden life.
*Accessing Lodwar is way easier today compared to a decade ago, with average rate for flight✈ being 14k this makes the 678km from the the capital short. But should you prefer to explore nature then this distance becomes more cheerful in a decent vehicle🚎🚌🚙. The first coverage of 378km is a stress free journey while the latter part covering 300km is tough due to pitiable road especially between Marich Pass & Kainuk. At Kainuk we request armed es**rt to rebuff the occasional bandit attack just in case.*

*Turkana has atleast 52 magical sites but because of expansive terrain we managed to cover a few with our main point of interest being (Out of the Planet-Central Island National park).*
*Something popped up in my eyes at Lodwar town next to the airport that made me think was in an underdeveloped Rio de Janeiro. There it lies a 30 metres statue on the tallest hill resembling that of Christ the Redeemer in Rio. This Statue in Turkana was erected by Catholic missionaries. From this point we explored the Tobong lore stadium and the house where HE. Kenyatta was held for 7 years.*

*With our interest still not deviated we are at the shore of lake Turkana ready for sailing🛶⛵🛶⛵Seems a good tour combination with all modes of transport😂👍🏿*
*Jutting 355 meters above the see level from the cool waters of lake Turkana stands this magnificent Island.
It takes us approximately an hour to reach to the top.⛰⛰Spirit of hike😋.
Being formed due to volcanic eruption , the Island owns 3 crater lakes. All the lakes are specialised with one being habitat to Tilapia fishb🐟🐟🐟, the second lake hosts thousands of Northern flamingos and the last home for Crocodiles. 🐊🐊
*The Island is rich in Avian, hence bird watchers can fulfill their adventure.Its already 5pm the sun is setting and we are seated as we watch the changing colours of marvellous sunset.

⭐ Kakamega Forest⭐

Its well Known as the Mecca city of Herpetology.

*KK forest merits the hosting of flora that is native to the highlands and lower altitude of Kenya.

Travel Updates;
Travel to Ngulia and experience migrating phenomenon between October and December.
*Every year between Oct & Dec, millions of migrating birds drop out of the sky and settle for a night or two around a lodge in Tsavo West National Park.
Its best known as the Ngulia Phenomenon and attracts ornithologist from all over the world.
It came to light in 1969 and this is when Ngulia lodge was opened.
