As the world marked the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP), which takes place annually on 6 April, preparations for another very exciting activity are also taking place!
The The Daily Mile UK will be celebrating its 10th Birthday on Thursday 28th April 2022!
The The Daily Mile UK, whose Ambassador is Eliud Kipchoge, helps children get fit by running or jogging for 15 minutes a day in school or nursery.
A notable school gearing up for this great day is Lela Primary School in Kenya. The school is located in Kobura Ward, Nyando Sub County in Kisumu City County!
County Government of Kisumu which is host to this year’s Africities-Africités event, is one of the 14 counties under the Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB). Eliud Kipchoge is also one of the LREB’s eminent persons advisory committee members.
In March, the Universities of Stirling, Edinburgh and Highlands & Islands found that 15 minutes of self-paced exercise, such as The Daily Mile, is beneficial for pupils’ cognition and wellbeing.
