Is it safe to go on safari in Kenya and Tanzania during the current Ebola outbreak?

Understandably, travelers may have questions. The current outbreak has been reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, while Kenya and Tanzania remain open for safari travel with no confirmed Ebola cases reported in those countries at this time. The CDC has issued outbreak-related travel notices for DRC and Uganda, and WHO/Africa CDC continue to coordinate regional response efforts.

At Tapestry of Africa, we believe in traveling with confidence, care, and accurate information. Kenya and Tanzania’s main safari circuits have historically remained unaffected by recent Ebola outbreaks, and we continue to monitor trusted public health updates closely.
