Wild at Heart: My Riding Safari Through Kenya 🐎🇰🇪

Just got back from the most incredible riding safari in Kenya and I honestly don’t have the words for how special it was.

Galloping across the open plains with wildlife all around - giraffes in the distance, zebras cutting across the horizon, and that endless African sky above - it felt completely unreal. Being on horseback made it so personal and immersive, like I was truly part of the landscape instead of just passing through it.

The early morning rides, the golden sunsets, the game drives, and the quiet moments watching elephants move slowly through the bush… it’s something I’ll never forget.

Huge gratitude to everyone who made the experience possible - the guides, the horses, and the amazing people I met along the way.

Already dreaming of going back again next year 🧡

Nothing Freer Than Galloping with the Wildlife in Kenya 🐎

There is nothing quite like the feeling of complete freedom…

Galloping across open plains, the wind in your face, your horse moving effortlessly beneath you - and wildlife running alongside you.

This is Kenya on horseback.

Out here, there are no fences, no tracks… just endless space and the rhythm of hooves against the earth.

One Morning. One Ride. A Lifetime Memory - Kenya on Horseback 🐎

Our ladies riding safari has begun and WOW… 25 years visiting Kenya and this might be the best yet.

We set off early morning for a two-hour ride across the plains, surrounded by impala, incredible scenery, and endless wildlife.

The highlight? Coming across a white rhino mum and her baby. The horses stayed perfectly calm and the rhinos were totally relaxed with us there — a moment we’ll never forget.

We also had the chance to canter and gallop across the reserve… even riding alongside zebra!
And all of this happened before breakfast.

This place is pure magic.

2027 Trip: We’re already planning a return for Jan/Feb 2027 for experienced riders, intermediates, and non-riders. Mornings doing our own activities, then everyone together for breakfast and the rest of the day.

We’ve arrived in Kenya for our very first Wild Hearted Riding Safari! 🇰🇪🐎

But before the adventure begins, we’re introducing our guests to two incredible conservation organisations doing vital work to protect Kenya’s wildlife.

At the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, orphaned elephants are rescued, rehabilitated, and given a second chance to return to the wild. 🐘💚

And at the Giraffe Centre, visitors come face-to-face with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe while supporting conservation and education efforts across Kenya. 🦒🌿
