Road-based safaris use closed 4WD's, typically Toyota Landcruisers with a pop-top roof. For fly-in safaris, a combination of light aircraft and open-sided 4WD's with a sun canopy, are used. Open-sided 4WD's vehicles offer greater visibility and provide unobstructed photography opportunities in all directions.

How much is a Safari Landcruiser?

A Landcruiser safari vehicle costs anything from US$ 150 to 270 per vehicle/day depending on the season and availability.

6 BEDROOM - BEACHFRONT - MIDA SHORT BEACH

A newly refurbished 6 bedroom, 3 story house situated right on the mouth of Mida Creek. The top 2 floors are available for rent and take full advantage of the stunning views out over the Indian Ocean and across the creek.

Five of the six bedrooms are on the middle floor. The sixth bedroom, lounge and kitchen are on the top floor with an open indoor sitting area, separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. There is a large veranda, which has the dining table and lounge sofas to enjoy the amazing view of the creek and the sea.
A lovely large swimming pool is set in the garden before the house with eight sun beds and pool umbrellas. There is a small plunge/kids pool next to the large pool. There is a gazebo with a dining table and chairs and a barbecue.

To escape the heat of the day there is a TV on the ground floor with satellite television, and the house also includes wireless internet.

Pets are allowed if kept under control by their owners.

There are no additional staff quarters available on the property.

The property sleeps a maximum of 14 guests (including children)

Minimum 2 night booking standard - 5 nights over Easter and August and 10 nights over Christmas/New Year

A privately owned 3 Bedroom Penthouse apartment, set over the upper two floors of a three story building in the exclusive 12 apartment complex of Blue Bay Cove in Watamu.

Each of the three bedrooms is air-conditioned with overhead fans, mosquito nets and ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom is a double and has it's own balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The living area is open plan, incorporating the kitchen with breakfast bar, dining and sitting room, all encompassed by a high pitched roof, giving a spacious and airy feel. There is a flat-screen TV in the living room with Satellite TV and PlayStation. Doors open from the living area onto a balcony which also looks out over the Ocean and the gardens of Blue Bay Cove.

The Penthouse, along with the other 12 apartments, has use of the Blue Bay Cove swimming pool and laundry facilities, and there is access to the private beach below.

The Penthouse is staffed with a housekeeper, and a cook can be provided for an additional charge.

A unique four bedroom main house with a two bedroom cottage, blending modern function and traditional Swahili architecture. Set on a natural rise that overlooks the stretch of the popular South Watamu Beach of Turtle Bay, reflecting the natural splendor and authentic Swahili style of the Kenyan Coast. From the landscaped garden, bursting with palms, flame trees and bougainvillea, to the hand crafted Makuti roof and it's cooling properties.

A recent addition to this house is an infinity pool, stretching out in front of the house and flanked with decking with comfortable sunbeds for lazing around on. And for when you would like to get away from the heat of the day, the spacious living area, which has also been air-conditioned, has satellite TV and wireless internet.

Each of the six double bedrooms, are air-conditioned, have mosquito nets, fans and ensuite bathrooms, and throughout the spacious property are comfortable seating areas.

2/3 BEDROOM - BEACHFRONT - MIDA SHORT BEACH

A stunning home set high up on a cliff overlooking the mouth of Mida Creek and out to the Indian Ocean. The two downstairs bedrooms are available to let whilst the upstairs rooms are left for the owners use. Please note that the owners do not use the house when it is let.

The property features one double bedroom and one twin, both with fitted mosquito net, overhead fan, air-conditioning and their own bathroom. There is a large family sized living room with dining area inside as well as a covered dining and seating area outside on the terrace. The swimming pool is large, set off to the side of the house.

A separate guest room is also available for an additional two guests, though it is separate from the main house so not recommended for children.

Access to the beach below is by a gate at the end of the garden. The beach is tidal and during the strong tides can sometimes collect seaweed. In this event there is another beach in the next bay that is larger and clearer.

The property is protected by G4S Security and it is fully staffed including an excellent cook.
