A few years ago, Sam Stogdale and Paolo Parazzi were fortunate to join Tropic Air Kenya on an unforgettable fam trip across this extraordinary country. From soaring mountain ranges and sweeping highland plateaus to lush valleys that suddenly fall away into stark desert, Ethiopia’s landscapes shift before your eyes like scenes from another world.

Chimp Trekking in Mahale

Tucked along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, Greystoke Mahale offers one of the most profound wildlife experiences in Africa, trekking through the forest in search of our closest wild relatives.

Our guests recently had the privilege to follow the sounds of rustling leaves and distant calls deep into the Mahale Mountains, where they came face-to-face with a troop of chimpanzees. Watching their playful interactions, complex social bonds, and gestures that so closely mirror our own was nothing short of extraordinary.
