Pure pastoralism with zero agricultural tendencies, as is the case with the Maasai community of Masai Mara is focal to conservation of wildlife and wildlife habitats. However, such a way of life renders the community reliant on purchasing of non-animal based food supplies such as cereals among others. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has distabilised the local economy, drastically reducing the purchasing power of families. In this regard, Africa Eco is offering support on a continuous basis by providing food packs to 200 families from Olerai Conservancy and Ilkeliani communities in Masai Mara.
