We hosted an official luncheon for the Business and Diplomatic communities and our diaspora to commemorate the inauguration of our Consulate in Southern China. Representatives from the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office and the Guangzhou Municipal Government echoed and reinforced my remarks on strengthening the Kenya–China Strategic Partnership, particularly in the areas of economic and technical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges for our mutual benefit.

On behalf of the National Museums of Kenya, I was also honoured to receive a ceramic carving of a White Rhino in recognition of Kenya’s conservation efforts. The piece will be officially delivered to Nairobi later this year by officials from Guangdong Province and the Guangzhou Municipal Government.
