Great Rift Valley which stretches out before you with the extinct volcanoes of Suswa and Longonot and the shining water of Lake Naivasha in the near distance. The park sits south of Lake Naivasha, approximately 90 kilometers from Nairobi. Despite its alarming name, Hell’s gate happens to be one of Kenya’s most panoramic parks and one of the only two parks that one can walk, ride bicycles, rock climb and camp within the park. We shall have a brief stop over at the Fischer’s tower to marvel at this piece of art by Mother Nature then proceed to the amazing Ol Njorowa gorges for a very memorable walk up and down the gorge. This gorge is the jewel of Hell’s Gate, it is a 24km long deep ravine lined with sheer cliffs and endowed with hot water springs feeding a stream that meanders down the floor of the gorge as it cuts its way through the rugged and semi-arid surrounding landscape. The Gorge widens out as it weaves its way down and out of the National Park. It is arguably one of the most beautiful places to go for a hike. After an extensive tour of Hells gate national park we shall have our picnic lunch at the Ol Njorowa pick site area. After lunch we shall visit Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake, whish is home to a variety of birds and wildlife. We have arranged a boat ride to Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a submerged rim of an immerged volcanic crater forming a bay which is the deepest point of the lake, the Crescent Island is a preserved sanctuary of wildlife where you will wander among tiny herds of mammals. Crescent Island is a peninsula or island, depending on the lake level, joined to the mainland by a causeway. We shall depart the island for Nairobi to your homes.
