🐘Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Craig, the legendary super tusker of Amboseli, at 54 years old. His twin sister, Cerise, is still alive and thriving as the matriarch of the CB family, proof that female elephants often outlive males in the wild, carrying on the legacy with their wisdom and strength.
We wonder if she senses his absence... Elephants are incredibly sensitive to loss, mourning their family members in ways that touch the soul.
Rest in peace, gentle giant. Your spirit lives on in the savanna.

Until Craig's passing, there were 12 known Super Tuskers in the Tsavo and Amboseli regions of Kenya. These magnificent elephants are easily identifiable due to their distinctive, curving tusks, which often weigh or exceed 100 pounds per tusk. In memory of Craig (RIP), here is the list of those 12 Super Tuskers:
