Not many people realise what goes into a safari before it even begins…

Last week we spent time with the chefs heading into the Ker & Downey mobile camp, testing dishes, refining menus and making sure everything is ready for the season ahead.

From sweetcorn fritters with smoked salmon to orange olive oil cake with berries, every meal is prepared with the same care and attention that goes into every part of the safari experience.

Out in the bush, great food is never an afterthought.
