IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Travelers Health Surveillance Form
Please note it is now a mandatory requirement for all passengers arriving in Kenya to fill in the Travelers Health Surveillance Form by the Ministry of Health in Kenya. Forms must be filled online via this link prior to disembarkation. Passengers will receive a QR code after completing the form and will be required to display it to the Port Health Official for them to be allowed to proceed to arrival immigration.

COVID-19 Certificate Validity
Kenya Airways: Kenya Airways have revised the COVID-19 certificate validity for all inbound flights to Kenya from 72hrs to 96 hrs. For outbound flights outside Kenya, a COVID-19 certificate is not required unless your country of transit or destination requires one.
Emirates: All passengers aboard any Emirates flights require a negative COVID-19 certificate. The certificate should be done latest 96hrs to the flight departure date.
Air Travel Protocols
The Ministry of Transport implemented additional protocols to ensure that travel remains safe during the pandemic for domestic and international flights. As these protocols will change from time to time, Express Travel Group will keep you updated.
1. Quarantine Exemption
Passengers arriving on international flights with a COVID-19 Negative certificate carried out in the past 96 hours and whose body temperature is NOT above 37.5° C (99.5°F), do NOT have a persistent cough, difficulty in breathing or other flu-like symptoms, from the countries below will not have to undergo quarantine.

Review of countries from which travellers will not be required to be quarantined upon arrival will be undertaken by Ministry of Health on day to day basis.
Note that the risk profile of any country could change and therefore the status with regard to these clarifications and directives could also change.
Those required to quarantine will do so at Government designated facility or at their home subject to prevailing guidelines.
2. Passengers traveling out of Kenya will be required to abide by the particular travel, health and COVID-19 related requirements of the destination country;
3. Passengers arriving or departing on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall be allowed to proceed to their hotels and/or residences;
5. The additional government measures of wearing of masks, physical distancing, sanitizing will still be applicable and passengers will be guided by the airline or airport staff where required.
Kenyan Visa on Arrival
Kenyan immigration advises all passengers requiring a Visa to enter Kenya, will need to apply Here Visa application on arrival into Kenya will also be done on-line. Cash payments for Visas on arrival will NOT be allowed. Visa Cards will however be accepted.
Immigration is discouraging holding any passengers in the PI room. Any passenger denied entry into Kenya will be sent back to the origin on the first available flight.
NOTE FOR PASSENGERS ARRIVING IN RWANDA
Passengers arriving Kigali need to have a PCR COVID-19 test certificate (Should be negative). Passengers will have to be tested and get results not more than 3 days before their flights (72 hours) , this also applys to those who will be transiting through Kigali International Airport.
As part of Government measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the following is mandatory upon entry into Rwanda as of 1st August 2020:
• All travelers arriving in Rwanda must be tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of departure (meaning that you get tested and get results no more than 3 days before your first flight), complete the passenger locator form, and upload the COVID-19 test certificate. • All travelers arriving in Rwanda will be screened upon entry and be given a second test to confirm the negative results of first test done prior to arrival.
• All travelers are required to complete 24 hours in a designated transit hotel while awaiting the results of the second test.
• The Government of Rwanda has negotiated special rates at the designated hotels for the waiting period. Should a guest wish to remain in the hotel after receiving negative test results, they are welcome to extend their stay at the applicable hotel’s rates.
• The negotiated hotel rate is on full board basis (inclusive of three meals) and if a guest takes less than the three meals, no refund will be provided. Any extras will be paid separately upon order.
• The meals are inclusive of water or soft drinks. Any extras will be paid for separately on order.

Designated transit Hotels
The preventive measures announced by the Ministry of Health in Rwanda must be observed by all, especially frequent hand-washing, proper wearing of face masks in public, and maintaining safe physical distance from others (at least one meter apart).
