bodies builder Labh Singh falls as Sh1bn KCB loan bites.
LSHS joins a growing number of companies that have gone into administration in recent months over financial upheaval.

"Kenya’s oldest and one of the largest truck, coach and bus body builders, Labh Singh Harnam Singh Limited (LSHS), has been placed under administration over a Sh1 billion bank debt, joining a growing chain of corporates that have suffered a similar fate in a tough economy.

Administration is a process through which a third party - an administrator - is appointed to take over the affairs of a company in distress to improve its financial situation for the benefit of its creditors or auction its assets as a last resort to protect the interest of creditors."

Established in 1950, Labh Singh Harnam Singh LTD (LSHS) is the largest and oldest bus, coach, truck and commercial body manufacturer in East and Central Africa.
LSHS is a family business spanning over 3 generations and is closely associated to Kenya coach industries and the defunct Labhsons Ltd.
As we pray and wish the cradle of bus fabrication well in this financial turmoil ,let's share and celebrate notable buses built by them.

Yesterday Sat 25th Jan 2025 , was a day to reckon with; when bus companies and members of various bus groups joined hands together for the Lady Hope Wellness Institute charity walk event .
The walks aim is to raise funds for cancer patients who are within their premises .
We thank the bus group organizers led by Delvan Mwakodi of Mombasa Bound Buses for coming up with the needful thought of including bus operators in this noble initiative.
Special regards to all the bus companies and members that supported this worthy cause .
