There’s nothing quite like the Mara at this time of year.

Our friends at Roamin Collective have just been spending some time at Tangulia Mara Camp and, judging by these photographs, they were very much in the right place at the right time!

The Migration is well and truly in full swing, with wildebeest and zebra pouring across the landscape and plenty of action at the river.

This is what the Mara is all about.

Zebra at the riverbank, crocodiles in the water, and that unmistakable feeling of being immersed in the moment as the drama unfolds.

Our guides may be lucky enough to witness moments like this more than once, but they never become ordinary. Every crossing is different. Every guest reaction is special. Every moment is a reminder of just how wild and extraordinary the Mara still is, especially with the privilege of having an experience like this all to yourself.

For many of us, our first experience of the wild came through the voice of Sir David Attenborough.

He introduced generations of children to elephants on distant plains, creatures hidden deep beneath the ocean, and the fragile beauty of the natural world, inspiring wonder, curiosity and ultimately encourging the world to care.

‘No one will protect what they don’t care about, and no one will care about what they have never experienced.’

For a century, Sir David has helped the world experience the wild in a way few others ever could.

Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough - and thank you for inspiring generations to appreciate and protect the natural world.
