The Wildebeest Migration is a dramatic story. It takes place within Kenya in Masai Mara National Park and Tanzania Serengeti National park and is the greatest wildlife show on earth. Between the open plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara, thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate to greener pastures as the season’s changes. Predators like lions, cheaters, vultures, hyenas and many more follow the Wildebeest Migration closely, waiting for an opportunity to strike weak prey as they make their way into different territories.

Kenya has considerable land area of wildlife habitat, including the Masai Mara, where blue wildebeest and other animals participate in a large scale annual migration. The Wildebeest Migration is a dramatic story which takes place every year within Kenya and Tanzania and is the greatest wildlife show on earth. Between the open plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara National Park, Masai Mara is located in the South-western of Kenya, 290 kilometers from Nairobi. thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate to greener pastures as the seasons change from time to time.

The migration is the seventh greatest wonder of the world". It is now officially known throughout the world. Many have come back time and again. They have witnessed this mass movement of wild animals roaming free through unspoiled and savage wilderness. The Migration is a recent phenomenon (60's and 70's was the biggest boom) with about 250,000 individuals. Gradually, with time the number has risen to the current population of over 3,000,000 individuals.

The massive display attracts hundreds of big cats as the populations provide abundant prey. The giant African crocodiles lie in wait, patiently, as the big herds come to cross the river or to drink. Every July (or sometimes August), the wildebeest traverse the plains of Serengeti and Masai covering over 600 miles (960km) from Tanzania's Serengeti plains, northwards to the Masai Mara and the Mara River is the final obstacle. In October or November, once they have feasted and the grass has all but gone, they turn around and go back the other way.

The best time to see the migration is usually between June and August when the wildebeest congregate and prepare to cross the famous Grumeti River. There are a few excellent camps in this area where you can stay to witness this natural phenomenon. If you are in the Masai Mara you can expect the wildebeest to make their arrival as early as July, but they generally arrive between August and September and remain in the Mara between October and November.

Day 1: Nairobi
Our representative will meet you on arrival in Nairobi for a transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time we will organize a half day tour of the city of Nairobi, which covers the colorful City Market with its wide variety of curios, the Parliament Buildings, the Railway Museum, and the National Museum, Overnight in Nairobi panafric hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Park
07:00 hrs: You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel and drive for the journey to the Masai Mara. Drive through the agriculturally rich central highlands of Kenya with stopover at the escarpment to view the magnificent East African Great Rift Valley. Descend to the floor of the escarpment to continue on to the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in search for animals. Dinner and overnight at Ol-Moran tented Camp or Masai Mara sopa lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara
This will be a day of tracking game with your guide, after an early breakfast. The Mara's landscape is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills, which enables the reserve to attract sufficient rainfall to maintain and support a large population of herbivores, together with the predators that follow. Elephant, lion, buffalo can be seen with relative ease though luck is a necessary factor for spotting rhino and leopard that complete the big five as the two animals are very timid and sparsely numbered. We will cater for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. In the evening, return to the lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its black manned lions, elephants and buffalo that make three out of the big five though luck is essential for spotting the other two namely rhino and leopard. The park animal concentration is second to none and numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, and Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. Have a picnic lunch at the hippo pool where you can spot crocodiles and hippos basking on the rocks. Return to the lodge or campsite in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:Masai Mara
After breakfast, have another morning of tracking game with your guide in this reserve. This is where the annual migration of close 800,000 zebras and wildebeest occurs between the two parks. Return to thelodge or campsite for lunch. In the afternoon there is a choice between a game drive and a nature walk escorted by our armed Masai guides or a visit to a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Park - Lake Nakuru
A short morning game viewing drive at the Masai Mara is scheduled for the early morning. Later depart the Masai Mara for the lake Nakuru national park. Proceed to the Lake Nakuru National Park with stops on scenic points along the Masai Mara- Lake Nakuru route. Afternoon bird and game viewing drives around the Lake Nakuru. Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi
After breakfast a morning game drive will follow in Lake Nakuru National Park, the abode of various water birds that breed in the lake's salty water including flamingos, white pelicans and marabou stork; white rhino may be seen as well as the rare Rothschild giraffe, cape buffalo and other plains game in this park that is 188 square kilometers. Depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch where you will be taken to a place of your choice for lunch before you are dropped at the air port in the evening for your onward flight back home.

The Aberdare National Park has Mountain ranges and peaks soar to around 14,000 ft. giving way to deep V-shaped valleys with streams and rivers cascading over spectacular waterfalls - this area is a must for landscape lovers. From its vital catchment area, the Aberdare Rainforest feeds the entire local and Nairobi water supply. Above the forest is a belt of bamboo, a favorite haunt of the Bongo, a rare and elusive forest antelope. At 10,000 ft. the bamboo gives way to moorland, home to the eland, spotted and melanistic serval cats. Other features are the giant varieties of lobelia, groundsel and heather. Ideal for walking, picnics, camping and trout fishing in the rivers, the moorlands are reminiscent of the European Highlands.

Animals abound in the forest: Elephant, Buffalo, Giant forest Hog and Kenya's indigenous endangered Black Rhino. The entire forest is being fenced to protect settlement farmers from animal raids and to create a rhino and forest sanctuary. Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark is a unique tree lodge with a veranda that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick allowing undisturbed views of wildlife visiting the waterhole. Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Bushbuck and occasionally an elusive Bongo Antelope and giant forest hog have been sighted.

Lake Nakuru National Park is dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation. Twenty seven percent (27%) of the park is composed of the Lake Nakuru waters. The park was declared a rhino sanctuary in 1983. The Rhino stocking programme which ensued received white rhinos from South Africa. Currently the sanctuary has approximately 45 black and 31 white Rhinoceros.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary. In the months of June and July each year, the wildebeests in their troops arrive at the Kenyan border, ready to cross the steep banks of the broad and fast flowing Mara River. This crossing is truly the greatest episode of the entire migration. Hot on their heels are the predators of the savannah –lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The banks of the Mara River provide one of the best vantage points to witness the drama. The Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will most likely see the Big Five- Lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant. Not to mention numerous plain animals.

Day 1: Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park (Forest Tree Lodge)
Depart Nairobi after breakfast .Our destination today is the Aberdare National Park. We stop for lunch at The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. After high lunch, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: Giant forest hog, Bush Pig, Tree Hyrax, Large Spotted Genet, and the elusive Bongo Antelope.

Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy. You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or large male Lion might put in an appearance. Day 3: Aberdare (Forest Tree Lodge) – Lake Nakuru National Park
This morning we depart Nairobi by road and proceed to Lake Nakuru Park, regarded by avid birders' as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The Park is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes lining on the lake shore. We arrive mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en route before checking-in at your Lodge for Lunch. A spectacular afternoon game run is planned.

The Park is also Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Bird life include common species like the lesser and Greater Flamingoes, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants. Rise early to enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Depart by road to Amboseli National Park. There you will experience your first 'Spice' game drive en–route to your lodge. The Park shelters more than 420 species of birds and has enormous Elephant population and other big game attracted to the area by underground springs fed from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Lunch is served at the lodge, before departing for an afternoon 'spice' game drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy a scrumptious dinner. Day 3: Discover Amboseli National Park
this morning we rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for a 'Spice' game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. A visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another 'Spice' game drive. Amboseli is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen. Masai warriors are famous and are proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world.

Depart Aberdare or Mt. Kenya National Park in the Morning by road to Samburu Game Reserve located at the North rugged Semi desert region. Samburu Game Reserve is a wild and little visited region, well known for spectacular scenery and wildlife not found in the south: Reticulated Giraffe, the rare Grevy's Zebra with its large furry ears, the gerenuk Antelope standing on its hind legs to feed and Somali Ostriches with their distinctive blue legs. Lunch upon arrival at your lodge then proceed on a 'Spice' game drive. Overnight at Samburu Lodge or Sarova Shaba Lodge

Day 6: Explore Samburu
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon 'Spice' game drives. You may see Elephants, Cheetah, Leopard, Eland, Oryx, Impala, Dikdik, Waterbuck and a variety of birds. This lava plain includes a varied landscape of red dirt, thorn scrub, broken volcanic rock, dried riverbeds, steep hills and rocky outcroppings. Following the river's curves, a forest of Doum Palms, Acacia and tamarind is a magical contrast of cool green.

Other areas of the Reserve include the Uaso Nyiro River where crocodiles sun bath themselves on the banks. It also provides an oasis for a variety of game. Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Samburu we shall drive north to the spectacular semi-arid part of Northern Kenya. Lunch will be on arrival after which you will enjoy an afternoon game drive for a sight of Samburu’s unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. Dinner and the night at Samburu - Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
Day 2: Samburu Today we shall enjoy and deeply explore the Samburu secrets and uniqueness in two game drives. The unique Samburu terrain and residents are sights you don’t want to let go therefore we shall have enough of these in a morning and afternoon Game drive. Dinner and over night at Samburu - Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

DAY 3: SAMBURU- LAKE NAKURU
Crose the equator as you drive southwards to Lake Nakuru National park. Drive through scenic Thomson falls, rift valley view point and menengai crater. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake whose waters are often covered by a living carpet of thousands of flamingos and plains that are home to the lion, rhino’s leopards and large herds of waterbuck. All meals and overnight at Lake Nakuru - Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha.
After breakfast, depart and drive to Lake Naivasha. After lunch you may spends the evening boat riding sporting the hippos where you visit the crescent island and enjoy all meals and overnight at Lake Naivasha - Great Rift Valley Lodge.

Day 5: lake Nakuru-Masai Mara
After an awakening breakfast proceed to mighty Masai Mara one of the Kenya’s best loved parks. Each year he Mara is staging ground for the fascinating great migration, one of the most awe- inspiring natural events in the world. We will arrive at keekorock lodge for lunch before we proceed with game drive en root to Masai Mara Serena lodge. Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara - Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 6: maasai mara
this full day is spent game viewing by getting a closer look at the Mara with four extensive game runs. We will meet with Maasai elders and visit Maasai village with him. You will join singing and dancing and admire their beautiful beadworks and brilliant clothes. . Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara - Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 07: Maasai Mara-Sirari- Spekey Bay Lodge
After breakfast at the lodge, drive to spekey bay lodge in Lake Victoria, arriving in the afternoon. You will take boat ride in the lake if the weather permits because some times in the evening the lake is so rough that we cannot allow any boat ride. Alternatively, we will do the boat ride the following morning when the weather is still which makes it safe for the ride. Overnight stay at Spekey Bay Lodge

Day 08: Lake victoria-Serengeti
Early pick up from the hotel after breakfast, drive southwards to the Serengeti Serena Lodge arriving in time for lunch, afternoon short game drive in the park, dinner and overnight Serengeti Serena lodge

Day 09: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, Morning & Evening game drive in Serengeti National Park, dinner and overnight overnight Serengeti Serena lodge

Day 10: Serengeti –Ngorongoro
Early pick from the lodge drive to Ngorongoro Crater Rim arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge, after noon descend to the crater overnight Ngorongoro Serena lodge

Day 11: Ngorongoro- Lake Manyara
After breakfast, descend down to the crater floor for game drive en route for Lake Manyara National park, game drive in the Park, with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 12: Lake Manyara –Amboseli
Depart Lake Manyara at 0800 hrs and travel to the Amboseli National reserve at the foot of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodges.

Day 13: Amboseli National Park
While Kilimanjaro is actually across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli has a perfect view of this world's tallest freestanding mountain, rising an impressive 5 kilometres above the plains. The best time to view the majestic mountain is at dawn and sunset, when the clouds lift and the light is both clear and soft. You will have Morning and Evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 14: Amboseli – Nairobi.
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you begin your journey to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon at the air port where you will catch your plane back home.
