Recognised as one of the seven wonders of the natural world , The Great Migration is a phenomenon comprising of the movement of almost 1.5 million wildebeest (and many other plains game), from Serengeti in Tanzania, into the Masai Mara Reserve in a clockwise continuous circular loop, in search of greener pastures.

Early herds have begun making their way through narrow passages as they cross over into Maasai Mara attempting to navigate through crocodile infested waters and met on arrival to predator plentiful plains. Dramatic scenes at this time of the year with mass numbers congregating on river banks forcing those in front ahead with no time to for decision making on the safest route.

Kenya’s arid north guarantees warm temperatures year round, with abundant sunshine, and scarce rainfall. Camel country as some call it, features tough terrain for wildlife and this reflects in the adaptation of species. Survival of the fittest, and fight they must, with many seeing a dramatic decline for various unfortunate reasons. Some of the worlds most endangered species reside here, one of which is the Grevy’s Zebra, also known as the imperial Zebra, larger in stature with distinctive round ears and unique stripes. An estimated 3000 left in the wild and almost exclusive to Kenya. We encourage you to come witness the largest living wild equid roam its natural habitat.
