Welcome to Suyian Soul, a simple, though upscale earthy camp set in a scenic paradise next to a natural spring and salt lick on Suyian Ranch in Laikipia, Kenya. The camp has a small human footprint, with a view of minimizing environmental degradation. Our emphasis is on location, learning and conservation. We believe strongly in healthy, simple living and aspire to provide intimate experiences wit

h nature and vanishing cultures. Suyian Soul is based on a working cattle Ranch which is family owned and run in Laikipia District where the old freedoms of wild Africa still exist. Suyian Soul camp has been built using local material collected from the Ranch. There is no cement in any of the buildings. The plaster mix consists of clay like soil from termite mounds and sand. The thatch for the rooves is a sedge grass which occurs in our nearest swamp along the Uaso Narok river. A self help women’s group have been taught the value of selling the grass instead of burning it back to create farmland. Suyian Soul has 7 thatched bandas we can host 14 adults sharing.
