«Un turismo che non sa governare i suoi limiti è come il vino mal fatto: ti fa sentire brillo all’inizio, ma poi ti lascia il mal di testa.

Bisogna tornare a dare valore al senso del limite e ricordarsi delle umili origini contadine dei territori nel rispetto della storia e della relazione armoniosa con la Terra; precondizioni necessarie per il successo di qualsiasi territorio che prospera in virtù del patrimonio naturale e culturale in esso presente.

Oggi si parla tanto di “turismo sostenibile”, ma troppe volte è solo uno slogan. Sostenibilità vuol dire che il turismo deve far bene, e non solo far soldi. Deve lasciare più di quello che prende.

Perché il punto è questo: un borgo senza bottega, senza forno, senza osteria, senza parrocchia, è solo una cartolina. Bella, sì. Ma vuota. Così come un paesaggio in cui non esiste altra forma di diversità al di fuori della vite è monotono».
