Siaya County will host the 12th edition of the annual Kenya Inter-Counties Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) Games from 22–28 November 2025. The event is expected to attract over 10,000 representatives from over 40 counties that have so far confirmed their participation.
The Chairman of the County Officers in Charge of Culture and Sports (COCAs), Mr. Paul Oluga, expressed confidence in Siaya as the host confirming this year’s KICOSCA will be unique, with 40 counties participating, he stated, adding that Siaya has the capacity to accommodate the expected influx of visitors.
The County’s Deputy Director of Sports, Mr. John Ang’awa, assured delegates of Siaya’s full preparedness. He confirmed that all venues meet required standards, are located within a 10 km radius, and are suitable for national and regional events.
Mr. Ang’awa noted that teams have been preparing through friendly matches since the last edition in Kakamega County. The games will feature a wide range of disciplines, including golf, handball, chess, scrabble, football, volleyball, basketball, netball, and athletics with squash as the only exception. Additional events include pool, darts, badminton, table tennis, cultural dance, choir, and ajua, to be held at various venues across the county.
