Salome Mwashumbe represented Elective Africa at the First Pads program in Migori county which is aimed at making a difference on the lives of young girls and women in low-income areas . The program is also focusing on mentoring young girls to excel academically.

Currently our clients transfer to this beautiful location via road on an 8 hour journey, while enjoying the rift valley scenery and the beautiful countryside; or through a flight from Kisumu.''
The move by Kenya Airports Authority to rehabilitate Lichota Airstrip in Migori will open up the county to business and domestic air travel. We look forward to this development geared towards making the journey to our rural electives location and gap year volunteer quicker
