This December, we took part in organizing the inaugural Supa Marathon in Nyandarua county. The 10km race aimed at creating awareness on physical activities for healthy living. The initiative also encourages all persons to take up running not only for the health benefits but to develop talent and keep younger persons away from social vices. The turn out and success of the event was quite encouraging and we thank God.

At Mtana Safaris, we always do our very best to ensure that our guests meet the objectives of their safari trips, and in a safe manner. This is not possible without a dedicated team of driver guides to deliver this promise. A good guide can be the difference between a good Safari and a great one!
Austin is one of our dedicated driver guides. His warm personality, knowledge, sixth sense for the best wildlife moments, careful driving, patience and the ever present smile that he wears as part of his uniform, all make him a great team member of Mtana Safaris.

JKIA drop-offs are special to us. We are always happy to have done our best to ensure that our guests meet the objectives of their Safari trip.
Time to say the byes for our dedicated team of driver-guides to the guests. Sometimes it’s an emotional parting having been together daily during the length of the Safari. There may be a tear shed here and there. All because they have made friends over the days.

The last lunch/dinner is an important part as we debrief and receive feedback from the guests. It helps us to keep improving. We also get the chance to thank the guests and wish them a safe passage back home.

After the Safari, a last lunch at the Legendary Carnivore Restaurant. Sample an array of choice well marinated and barbecued meats; crocodile, ostrich, warthog, quail, turkey, chicken, beef, lamb … well.. and everything. The exotic salads and sauces are truly special.

For our guests doing a longer safari, we recommend that the first days are spent in search of wildlife in the major parks. After the big game, it is time to unwind and take it easy with a visit to the picturesque Hell's Gate National Park. Here, you can, cycle, trek and climb down into the Oljorua gorge.
The park boasts many herbivores; buffalo, antelopes, giraffe, warthogs among others. The only large carnive, leopard is rarely sighted. Therefore, the park is safe to be outside the vehicles and enjoy this unique experience.
Ooh.. one thing, the for such a beautiful park, it's name could be/is misleading. People could be tempted to think that hell is a good place😀.
