Bolo Haouz Mosque, built in 1712, is one of Bukhara’s most iconic landmarks. Named after the “Children’s Pool” in front of it, the mosque is famous for its beautifully carved wooden columns and vibrant painted ceiling—features added in the early 20th century. Once the Friday mosque of the Emir, it now stands as part of Bukhara’s UNESCO-listed historic center.
