"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls."
Khalil Cibran, "On Children"

Kyrgyzstan is well-known for its livestock markets, or "mal bazar" in Kyrgyz. In mal bazar one can buy large and small ruminants, equines, and poultry. It opens its doors for vendors and visitors once a week. From dusk till dawn, life is in full swing at the bazaar. The sheep bleat, cows moo, horses neigh, and people bargain loudly.
And in the air, in the air hangs the smell of manure :)
Bazaars in Eastern countries are lively places where you can immerse into the reality of the local people and feel the pulse of the region.
Personally, I see bazaars as a kind of therapy to feel good.
Because you sincerely interact with farmers, and see how hardworking, real, plain, and full of life they are. You joke, smile, laugh, and feel united with the them 💕

Every time dad comes home, his sheep start bleating as if greeting him. I was surprised to learn that sheep's keen memory for faces has been scientifically proven. According to the Babraham Institute (Cambridge, England) research, not only can sheep recognize human faces, but they can also recognize up to 50 other sheep faces and remember them for 2 years.
Furthermore, sheep are capable of experiencing a wide range of emotions, just as humans do. Many studies have highlighted the ability for sheep to feel afraid, angry, bored, sad and happy. Not only are sheep able to feel basic emotions, but their feelings can be very complex and include interactions between emotions and cognition. For example, scientific studies have shown that sheep can be pessimists and optimists!

Hunting has been a source of livelihood for the Kyrgyz throughout history. People made weapons of stone, iron, wood, bone, and other materials and targeted animals in the environment to feed on their flesh and make clothing and shelter from their skins. They also trained dogs and birds of prey to help them in this endeavor.
The tradition of hunting with birds of prey, which dates back to ancient times, is still partially practiced by the Kyrgyz today. In Kyrgyz language, a hunter who hunts with a falcon is called "munushkor", "kushchu", and a hunter who hunts with an eagle is called "burkutchu".
It is important to note that the eagle's eyes are very sharp. This bird of prey can see even a small animal moving at a distance of 3 km, while it may not notice a large object that is not moving, so the eagle will only attack a moving creature. The eagle has good ears, but its main weapon is its eyes. And its claws. The eagle grabs its prey with its talons and takes its life by digging its sharp nails into the animal's skin and squeezing it to death.
