Ata-Beyit Memorial Complex and Family Lunch on 14 June, Sunday 10 AM
Discover one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important places of memory and reflection on this meaningful experience just outside Bishkek.
Together, we will visit the Ata-Beyit Memorial Complex, a powerful site dedicated to the victims of Stalinist repression, the tragic events of 1916 (Ürkün), and other chapters that shaped modern Kyrgyzstan.
Surrounded by mountain landscapes, the memorial offers a deeper understanding of the country's history, identity, and resilience.
Following the visit, we will continue to a local family home for a traditional Kyrgyz lunch.
Around the table, guests will have the opportunity to experience warm hospitality, taste home-cooked dishes, and engage in informal conversations about everyday life, culture, traditions, and contemporary Kyrgyzstan.
