Incredible experience

We took a full day tour with Hoksan to Tonle Sap for bird spotting, and to Prek Toal floating village (where he actually resides). The bird watching was incredible. My understanding is that going in the dry season shrinks the lake, so the birds concentrate in a smaller area.

Hoksan seems to love his work and was genuinely excited to share his knowledge and his incredible bird spotting and identification skills.

He also provided binoculars for each person in our group, which was a definite plus. His tour of the Prek Toal floating village gave us a unique glimpse into how a community can live and thrive on the water.

His family also cooked a wonderful lunch for us. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Cambodia. Drivers of the van and the boats were super safe and made us feel quite comfortable on our journey.

Definitely recommend!

Eintauchen in eine andere Welt

Wir haben die 1,5 tägige Tour mit Abholung im Siem Riep gemacht, Sophal war unser Guide. Es war rundum ein tolles Erlebnis, seien es die Menschen im schwimmenden Dorf, die Vögel im Biosphärenreservat oder die exklusive und persönliche Begleitung durch Sophal.

Wir wohnten selbst auch in einem schwimmenden Haus "mittendrin" wurden von der Gastgeberin bestens umsorgt. Das Essen war super und die Nacht auf der Matratze umtern Mückennetz muss man auch mal mitmachen.

Alles in allem eine ganz tolle Erfahrung. 100%ige Weiterempfehlung.

On TripAdvisor: Great tour for birds and floating villages

We had an excellent tour with easy logistics, a very friendly and knowledgeable guide (both for birds and culture/community/etc) and interesting stops. 63 species. The non-birder enjoyed the trip quite a bit as well. Supporting a community organization was a bonus. Highly recommended!
