Dear friends, past guests, and former staff,

We are sad to announce that Kool Kampot is closed effective immediately. This is the third anniversary of our business venture, and it has been quite a memorable three years, to say the least. Like so many other businesses, the ongoing pandemic changed everything for us and ultimately, continuing to operate in the current climate is no longer a realistic possibility.

We would like to thank all of our former staff, and an extra-big thank you goes out to our guests, especially our friends who have come to visit us in Cambodia over the past few years, those who have become our dear friends while staying with us, and those who kept our doors open for the past year.

Much love to everyone, and keep staying safe out there. ❤

Back in July, a lovely couple stayed in one of our large rooms on the first floor. They were a wonderful addition to our long-term guest family, and we were very happy to have them here. It turns out, Leighton is quite the prolific travel blogger and runs his own site, Leighton Travels. He wrote a great piece about their time here at Kool Kampot. Our bar is closed for the time being, but if you visit Kool Kampot, please take the time to scan our QR code, copies of which are located at the gate, the main entrance, and in reception..

As Cambodia works to combat the largest COVID outbreak the country has experienced so far, a QR code check-in system has been introduced for the safety of the community. When you visit a local business, use the website seen in the first photo to check in, enter your phone number, and boom, you're done. If local businesses are affected by the outbreak, you will be notified so you can take the proper precautions. It's easy, painless, and another step in helping us to return to the country's relative state of normalcy. Thanks in advance, and stay safe out there!

For the first time in several months, one of our balcony rooms is available for long-term or short-term stays! This ensuite aircon room is bright and airy, and comes with its own private outdoor area for your enjoyment.

Happy Saturday, everyone! If you feel like having a relaxing evening on the Kool Kampot rooftop, drop by the bar later. Simon will be playing some music around sunset, and as usual, happy hour cocktails are $2 from 5pm to 7pm. Don't forget: We're on the Kampot Pepper Trail, so come by and try our Pepperberry Cocktail and get your Pepper Trail Passport stamped! If you don't know about the Trail, feel free to ask!

Sunbeams and salt fields. ☀️ This is the perfect time of year to see salt harvesting, and fortunately, Kool Kampot is located just down the street from some of the largest salt flats in the area. Ask us at reception for more information about finding these places on your own, or booking a tour that includes a stop here. If you're really lucky, you'll get to see workers in action.
