We have just returned from our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, the whole trip was well organised, including internal flights in Vietnam. We saw a lot had many great experiences and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We hiked in Sa Pa in the north of Vietman, sailed on Halong Bay, visited Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap.
The tour guides were all friendly knowledgeable and professional. We felt safe with the drivers, despite all the motorbike and scooters everywhere like buzzing bees always trying to get past you or across you 😂 Global Travel dealt with our late arrival due to flight problems and took very good care of us, we were in good hands throughout or holiday. Special thanks to Mr Ann for all the follow ups and checking in on how we were doing on our trip.

PHNOM KULEN is considered by Khmer people to be the most sacred mountain in Cambodia and is a popular place of pilgrimage. It played a significant role in the history of the Khmer empire as it was from here in 802 AD that Jayarvarman II proclaimed independence from Java, giving birth to modern Cambodia. On the plateau, there is a large reclining Buddha carved into a sandstone boulder and beautiful views across the jungle. Nearby is a major waterfall and some riverbed carvings of the sort seen at Kbal Spean. For more adventurous visitors, there are many old temples scattered across the mountain, but these are tough to reach. Phnom Kulen is about 55km north-east of Siem Reap.

You’ll understand the thrill French explorer Henri Mouhot surely felt when he came upon the overgrown temples of Angkor in the mid-19th century.
