This was my favourite day of the whole of my trip. Far too much of our time was being spent herded like cattle from one attraction to the next. On the bus, off the bus, take a photo of this. A day out with Sambo is SO far away from that. A totally chilled out day, we met the family and some local kids, wandered around the land near Sambo's family home picking herbs to go with lunch and being shown other plants they use for medicine. Lunch was running around half an hour earlier and was definitely the freshest chicken I've ever eaten! We were taken fishing, cooked the fish over a fire, took our shoes off and went wading through the paddy fields. As Sambo says, he is not a tour guide, he is a tuktuk driver, so you'll get as much or as little as you want from him. He won't talk all day and bore you about things you're not interested in, but equally has an infinite amount of knowledge on the Khmer Rouge, farming and what life is like living in Cambodia if you're interested and ask him a few questions.

Cannot recommend this trip enough - we had such a brilliant day
