This July, our team ventured to Song Saa Private Island, one of Cambodia’s most beautiful and peaceful destinations. During their stay, the team enjoyed an inspection tour of the resort, exploring the Jungle Villa, Ocean View Villa, and Overwater Villa. Each villa offered exceptional privacy and stunning sea views, with breathtaking sunrise or sunset views.

The team also enjoyed rejuvenating wellness experiences and kayaking adventures around the island. The delicious cuisine, warm hospitality, and attentive service made their stay even more memorable. They also appreciated Song Saa Private Island’s commitment to sustainability through its eco-friendly practices and efforts to reduce plastic waste.

Together, we begin at one of the city’s best food markets, where she introduces local ingredients, sharing their names, uses, nutritional value, and cultural history. Along the way, we learn traditional techniques, flavour combinations, and the stories behind Cambodian cuisine.

More than a cooking class, it feels like being welcomed into a friend’s kitchen — warm, caring, and personal. Chef Nak guides every step with passion, making the experience both educational and deeply human.

ABOUTAsia Impact Grant | Call for Proposals

The ABOUTAsia Impact Grant supports grassroots, community-led initiatives that uplift vulnerable populations and improve quality of life across Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. This grant is designed for organizations deeply embedded in their communities and committed to locally driven change through education, livelihoods, equity, social cohesion, and environmental care.

We welcome practical and scalable proposals in areas such as youth empowerment, accessible education, mental health, women’s leadership, and projects promoting environmental sustainability. Priority is given to community-rooted programs that address local needs and deliver measurable impact. Proposals should demonstrate strong local leadership and a dedication to fairness, participatory approaches, and resilience.

- Grant Size: Up to USD 3,000

- Project Duration: Up to 3 months

- Eligibility: NGOs or community-based organizations registered in Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam. Youth organizations without formal registration are also considered

Our visit to Heartprint Community Center ❤️

Congratulations to Heartprint for receiving the ABOUTAsia Impact Grant! The program is already underway, providing nutritious meals to more than 80 students, with healthy meals served five days a week.

We were warmly welcomed by the team, and it was truly inspiring to see their impactful work in action. From financial literacy and life skills to art and STEM programs, Heartprint is creating meaningful opportunities for young learners to grow and thrive.
