Regarding your concerns about the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand.
I would like to assure you that Cambodia is still a safe destination for travelers, as long as they avoid areas near the active conflict zones along the Thai-Cambodian border. For the latest updates, I recommend you check out the travel advisories issued by your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs or embassy, as they are best sources to provide guidance for their citizens.
As Cambodia is directly involved in this border dispute, our government does not issue formal safety guarantees for foreign visitors. Therefore, we do not have official documentation addressing this matter.
This is not a new conflict, it is an old dispute in which Cambodian and Thai went to war with one another many times since 1962. But we are hopeful that both nations will reach a peaceful resolution soon.
