Melting Soul began as a collaboration in 2022, at a time when Korea’s craft burger scene was already crowded and competitive. The brand entered quietly...but with structure and intent.
Co-founded by singer Kim Tae-woo and chef Lee Won-il, Melting Soul positioned itself around the idea of a “true handmade burger,” built from quality ingredients and patties made in-house. That approach quickly moved the brand beyond local buzz. A win at the Korea Burger Championship followed, earning Melting Soul the title of Korean Champion Burger.
From there, the brand stepped onto a global stage. Representing Korea at the World Food Championship 2023 in Dallas, Melting Soul placed Top 6 in the final dish category, presenting burgers developed specifically for international competition. The results cemented its reputation as a competition-tested burger brand rather than a trend-driven one.
The menu reflects that identity, with signature burgers like the Melting Yellow Cheese Burger—recognized for its poured cheese presentation—alongside jambon-based burgers, beef patties, and a broad lineup of fries and sides. Operations are centralized across five directly operated stores, each managed under strict hygiene standards rated “Very Excellent.”
Today, Melting Soul operates across department stores, road shops, theme parks, and special venues, expanding steadily while maintaining a competition-led foundation.
