[ #2024] As we happily celebrate the start of 2024, it is also the time to think about all the things that happened during these 365 days.

It has not been easy. Restarting after the covid, with all the geopolitical turmoils going on, the new and changing environment of travel, luxury and hospitality.

But what fascinating times we are living in.
It taught us resistance, endurance, resilience and rebirth.
It brought us to reshape our World, our mind, our values, our vision.
It led us to make tough decisions to move on from before, to try to be a bit wiser than before, to be way more caring and loving than before.

As the last years have been heavy, shadowy and dark, the coming year will be light, bright and full of energy and surprises.

[ ] It's official: from March 20th, masks will not be mandatory anymore in any place and transportation around South Korea.

However, they will remain mandatory in medical facilities, hospitals, doctors' offices, pharmacies and high risk places (like senior housing).

The local government still strongly advises to wear masks in public transportations, especially during rush hours.

Beside that, guests are still required to provide negative PCR test if flying to China, and only if not vaccinated or vaccinated with not-recognized vaccines if they flight to Japan.

It's time to travel again!

[ ] Today, we are celebrating the Independance Movement Day in Korea.

After a century of struggles and humiliation under the Foreign occupation, on March 1st, 1919, Koreans rose up against the colonial military administration.
As Korea was a very small nation and completely unknown by most of the rest of the World, their call to Independance fell in deaf ears despite being inspired by the 14 points of the Woodrow Wilson declaration at the Paris Peace Conference in Januray 1918.

The repression of the independance movement was bloody, cruel, and spared no one (including women and children).

A century later, Korea is independent and strong. It ranks now among the 12 most developed countries in the World.

As the red pine growing on top of the snowy rocky mountain, solitary and defiant the adverse conditions, Korea managed to stay free and proud of its culture, its language, its heritage, its food, its music, its arts.

Yet, division of its people and soil remains.

Today, we celebrate much more than the March 1st movement.
Today, we celebrate the unique mindset that Koreans have had for the past century to remain who they are, despite all odds and all the big players surrounding them.

This is also the mark of the last days of the winter.

Like every night brings a new day, after 3 years of shadowy struggles, we welcome the spring and look forward to having you onboard with us for this new journey.

[ ] Today is the day where all countries and people traditionally following the Lunar calendar celebrate the .

For Korea (and many other countries) this new lunar year is rising under the good augur of an auspicious symbol: the water rabbit.

Combination of the earthly Rabbit and the fluid elemental, this year will bring good fortune to wood and earthly activities such as culture, publishing, agriculture, but may covet storm for energy, teghnical industries and dogital businesses.

Lots of changes are expected, leaving more space for new opportunities, with yet, a mild side as Rabbit years are not really agitated.

Great socializing, happy events and positive energy are also supposed to come along, bringing to the rabbit years an always positive outcome.

We wish you all the best and much more for this new Lunar Year, and we do believe that health, prosperity, serenity and joy will be with you all along.
