Our interview with Albert who went to North Korea is up on our blog.

"I mean I definetly expected to see poor communities and like really really skinny people. My expectations were low because it was North Korea. I expected the people to be more strict and less sociable but that was actually not the case. My tour guides who were North Koreans were just like our best buddies by the end of it, we were drinking with them, eating with them, having a fantastic time with them. They were just like normal people. I expected them to be wearing security guard outfits and won’t allow us to do anything but we got away with everything."

We recently sat down with Albert who is currently teaching English in South Korea about his recent trip to North Korea. Albert was very excited to tell us about his experiences and he hopes that other people will discover the tour he took.

"The whole supermarket was free for us to shop for. It was kind of weird because when we were shopping the power cut several times so it was like pitch dark when we were shopping but no one really cared. The supermarket had their own generator so they could check out people’s food but no one gave any notice. All of us on the trip were like: “Ohh what’s happening?” and all the North Korean people didn’t really care."
