Definitely Colombo’s most celebrated festival, brings in thousands of foreign visitors and locals for a beautiful two-day celebration of spectacular grandeur during the month of February. Presenting parading elephants, dancers, street performers, musicians and torchlight processions, the Navam Perehara may be the most colorful events in the country’s calendar. (Hotels are often fully booked over the festival, so be sure to arrange accommodation in advance)
