Hurricane Helene - CAL flight operations update for September 25-26, 2024
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, September 25, 2024 – Hurricane Helene, CAL flight operations update:
Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) is continuing to monitor the inclement weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene, which are impacting the Cayman area and other international gateway cities.
Wednesday September 25, 2024
International flights
All international flights - Miami, Havana, and Kingston - operated this morning with minor delays due to weather. At this time, Miami flights KX104 and KX105, as well as New York flight KX792, scheduled for this afternoon, will be operating with only minor delays due to weather.
Domestic flights
All Cayman Airways Express flights were cancelled for today, and as previously announced, jet service was added for this morning to accommodate affected passengers. The following additional jet service has been added for this afternoon between Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac:
KX3409 departs Grand Cayman at 5:10pm and arrives on Cayman Brac at 5:50pm
KX3410 departs Cayman Brac at 6:40pm and arrives on Grand Cayman at 7:20pm
Thursday, September 26, 2024
Tampa International Airport (TPA) has announced that it will be suspending operations on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Therefore, Cayman Airways’ Tampa flights KX202 and KX203 scheduled for Thursday have been canceled. All affected customers are being accommodated on alternate flights on Friday, September 27, 2024. The airline is contacting affected passengers directly with details.
All other flights scheduled for Thursday are expected to operate as scheduled, weather permitting.
