a couple of really magical days in the Cayman Islands 🇰🇾💚

When I reached out to the Hislops about representing their boutique hotel earlier this year, I didn’t fully (yet) understand the magnitude of their pride and honor of being Caymanians. This country is so much more than Instagramable hotels and tourist sites that mainstream media heavily spotlights. Caymanians are so proud to be Caymanians and these past few days really showed that. From innovative farm-to-table dining to conservation efforts for endangered species, I’m blown away by the stories that have been overlooked all these years.

Josephine and Stephen (and the rest of the incredibly hard-working team) invite and fully welcome travelers to experience their home at Botanica. Centrally-located, luxurious, extremely thoughtful and expertly-designed (hi Josephine!!!), it’s everything one needs to fully immerse themselves in Grand Cayman.

I’m so grateful that the very first Pronto PR press trip was to Botanica, because this side of Cayman Islands travel has inspired me like no other. I’m grateful for my pals who took time out of their busy schedules to join us, and I’m grateful for the locals who completely welcomed and indulged us. Thank you so so much Josephine & Stephen! 💚

There’s always something worth noticing here. A corner you somehow missed yesterday. The garden doing something new. A familiar view looking particularly lovely in the afternoon light.

Perhaps that’s part of the pleasure of staying somewhere small. You get to know it properly.

The Beach Cottage has become a beautiful backdrop for the moments surrounding life’s bigger celebrations, from quiet bridal mornings to intimate gatherings and everything in between. Filled with natural light and plenty of island character, it’s a place that photographs beautifully, but more importantly, feels beautiful to be in.
