What to Visit in Almaty This Autumn:

1. Shymbulak Ski Resort – A stunning photo spot with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks. Take a scenic cable car ride from 1,200 meters up to 3,200 meters above sea level.

2. Big Almaty Lake – A beautiful lake near the city, though not easily accessible to visitors. You can get there by electric bike or on a private car tour.

3. Terrenqour – A lovely pedestrian street that runs alongside a river, offering a refreshing escape from the heat and the bustle of downtown.

4. The Healthy Stairs – A challenging 1,000-step hike starting from Medeo and leading to the Gorelnik resort, where you can treat yourself to a well-deserved breakfast or lunch afterward. If you're up for it, you can hike all the way to the base of the Shymbulak Ski Resort.

5. Butakovka Waterfall – Located 30–40 minutes from the city center, it’s a 1.5–2 hour hike to reach the waterfall, making for a perfect nature getaway.

6. Hunns Village – An ethnically styled village where you can watch horse riding shows, participate in cooking classes, and even try your hand at real archery.
