About Expats.kz

The idea to open Expats.kz, which will support foreigners, staying in Almaty for a long and a short term, appeared in a long in-house talks with one guy, Michael, from Prague. A lot of people travelling across Kazakhstan had a short-term stay in our flat: backpackers, bikers, car travelers, singles and families, young and not very old. Someone of them lost passport and waited the new one from the embassy; another crossed 18 countries on legendary Citroen 2CV; a 19 year old student from France made a round world trip within a year, crossing Afghanistan in a bus with armed rebels; two friends from Australia where walking from the Geneva to Sidney :-) (by the way, they where staying in Almaty for two months, and one of them meat a girl from his dreams. Now they are happily married).

It is a lot of different adventures and stories, different cultures and life styles. The only thing was common - is that everybody was very excited with our hospitality and friendliness.

Since that time past over 10 years and we went to a new level, starting not only to talk with visitors and have fun with them, but also help as much as possible with all the information we have about Almaty and suburbans, about our history and culture. We also arrange airport pick up, transfers and accommodation, providing guide and translator services, organizing ecological, fun and adventure trips around Almaty for one or several days.

For those, who living in Almaty we are going to establish additional activities and “have-fun” days, when everybody may meet and connect together. And, of course, any other help during your being here in Almaty.
