All our events have the main purpose of bringing people of different backgrounds, cultures, origins together. All our events have a mission to promote “living together” by knowing roots of each others building up on them common values and traditions.
The performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Turkish March” (which itself Mozart wrote inspired by Turkish “Janissary music” in 1783) by dombra is an illustration of our mission.

Thanks to Aibar Tangatov from we will have plenty of dombra play on March 30. We are excited in anticipation of it. Don’t forget to confirm your participation in Nauryz celebration “Welcome Spring!”

The Dombra player is famouse kazakh traditional singer Qanat Qudaibergenov. The video credit - youtube channel of late extraordinary comedian Askar Naimantayev.

Reminder of the event:

We will start by 5 o’clock tea and go on till 10 pm with the concert, dombra plays, a beautiful kazakh ceremony and Kazakh food for Nauryz.

The venue: 5 av. Marie-Thérèse, Hotel Parc Belle-Vue - Petruss Hall.

The entrance is 30 euros, free for children (under 13).

Culture&Traditions:
If each Christian family keeps the Bible in the house and Muslim family has the Koran, every qazaq family has a Dombra. It is the main national instrument of Qazaqs. One of the most ancient instruments in the world, dating back more than 4000 years. It has been a way of expressing feelings, thoughts and, via Kui - Qazaq instrumental musical composition performed with Dombra - the mean of passing down the knowledge, traditions and wisdom from generation to generation. Kui has been at the heart of Qazaq culture and everyday life. Kui is now in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Big Almaty Lake, Kazakhs call it Green Lake – Zhasyl kol - is one of the most beautiful attractions of Almaty. Situated 15 km south of Almaty, it is like a pearl shelled by 3 mountain peaks of 3954m to 4317m high. The lake, laying 2511 meters above sea, is splendidly beautiful at any time of the year and has different colors depending on the season. In winter is covered by ice. When you reach it (driving or hiking), you understand that the view is worth the road. The scenery is breathtaking and the place has a peaceful atmosphere, giving you the sense of eternity. If you let your feelings free, you can sense one with the nature.

Almaty is the biggest city of Kazakhstan.
The country’s former capital still remains its cultural and economical center. It is beautiful and vivid. It is as much progressive as any of European metropolitan city is and as cozy as only oriental ones can be. You will enjoy its parks, cafes, numerous tasty restaurants, museums and just strolling around in town and feeling hospitality of people. Night life is vibrant and a real fun. The city is surrounded by beautiful mountains, which keep the snow on the top even in summer and stay visible from almost every corner of the city. That is an image of home each Almaty person keeps in their heart when away. 10 minutes drive from downtown and you will be in the middle of those spectacular mountains.
Region of Almaty has everything to offer to a tourist: beautiful mountains, ski stations, the highest in the world skating ring, canyons, singing dunes, pearl-like mountain-lakes, fast mountain rivers with icy water, and many many more.
If translated, the name Almaty will mean City of Apples. You know that apples are originated in Kazakhstan? But that is a different story to come...

Culture&Traditions:
In Kazakh showing respect and appreciation and attention to the good in people in the core of the national culture. And it is fully reflected in the hospitality and attention to guests. Guests for kazakh (real kazakhs :)) are like Gods. One of the tradition of treating respected guests is presenting them shapan (kazakh national men coat). You can claim yours when visiting the country :)))
