JEEP TOUR IN COFFEE TRAIL Bolaven Plateau Preview: One full day jeep tour on Bolaven Plateau! An original way to discover treasures of that wild and beautiful region. Countless coffee plantations, Laven and Suay villages, remote waterfalls, by jeep and by trekking, you will enjoy the adventure! Description: One full day jeep tour, 1N/2Days, 2N/3Days or 3N/4Days on Bolaven plateau to discover wonders of this preserved area. 1 hour from Pakse, the region of Paksong offers a beautiful overview of untouched nature. During the journey, Mr. Khamsone – English speaking guide and coffee farm owner – will give you explanations about coffee plantations, from planting to roasting, finishing by a not-to -be -missed coffee testing (Robusta, Arabica and Typica). Then, trekking along coffee plantations, picnic lunch in a small riverside, discovering of vegetables fields and relaxing or swimming time at some remote and impressive waterfalls! The all interspersed by fun and unforgettable jeep tours. Seasonality: This tour is possible all year round, but we recommend it in dry season. The main interests of that tour are plantations (coffee and vegetables), nature (waterfalls) and meeting with local people (Laven and Suay Village), which are interesting all over the year. => From November to March: 80% of coffee plantations and 20% of vegetables fields (cucumber, cabbage,chilly). That is means in dry season you can see the whole processing of coffee plantation on fields. => From April to October, 30% of coffee plantations and 70% of vegetables fields. In rainy season, you can see first steps of coffee plantations only as usually, the coffee fruit is still green. But Khamsone will explain all processing in order you to have a real overview. Point of view: This is a new concept, created by one of our good English speaking guides in Southern Laos. His family is working in coffee plantations more than 40 years, and he born in Bolavan plateau so he knows very well the coffee culture and is extremely passionate! It is a really nice adventurous alternative to classic program on Bolaven Plateau, which allows clients to discover untouched area without any tourists. Internal Note: Actually, Khamsone just receives a few French clients. It is a really nice product especially for clients who are looking for untouched area, kept unknown from tourist, with some cultural, natural and sportive activities. In rainy season, roads are bumpy and muddy. Jeep can go everywhere, but clients have to be informed transfers could be longer and more tiring. Trekking are really not difficult, but it could be more slippery and sportive during rainy season

Aperçu: Une journée complète au coeur du plateau de Bolaven! Un moyen original pour découvrir les trésors de cette région magnifique et sauvage , ses innombrables plantations de café, les villages Laven et Suay, et ses cascades secrettes, en jeep et en marchant, vous allez apprécier l'aventure!

Description: Excursions d'une journée, 1N/ 2 jours, 2N/3 jours ou 3N/4 jours sur le plateau de Bolaven. À une heure de Pakse, la région de Paksong offre une exceptionnelle vue d'ensemble sur les merveilles de cette zone préservée. Au programme: explications sur la culture du café, depuis la plantation jusqu'à la torrefaction, et inmanquable dégustation (Robusta, Arabica et Typica) par M. Khamsone (guide parlant anglais et propriétaire d'une plantation de café), marche au abords des plantations, pique nique au bord de la riviere, decouverte des autres cultures de legumes de la region, et baignade au abords de magnifiques cascades, le tout rythme par de memorables trajets en jeep!

Point de vue: Ce nouveau concept a été crée par un de nos guides parlant anglais du sud du Laos. Sa famille travaille dans les plantations de café depuis plus de 40 ans, et il est lui-même natif du Bolaven, donc connaît très bien la culture du café qui est sa première passion! Cette excursion est réellement une aventure alternative comparée aux programmes classiques sur le plateau, permettant ainsi aux voyageurs de découvrir des zones encore préservées du tourisme.

Saison: Ce trek est possible tout au long de l'année, les plantations ( de café et légume), la nature (cascades) et la rencontre des locaux ( villages Laven et Suay), sont intéressants quelque soit la saison, cependant nous recommandons la saison sèche;

==> Saison sèche: de novembre à mars: 80% autour du café et 20% d'autres récoltes (concombres, choux, piments). Ce qui signifie que vous pouvez observer tout le processus autour du café

==> Saison des pluies: d'avril à octobre, 30% autour du café et 70% d'autres récoltes. En cette période, vous pouvez observer les premiers pas de la culture

du café, et bien que les grains soient encore verts, Khamsone vous expliquera tout le processus pour que vous ayez une bonne vue d'ensemble

Note interne: M. Khamsone reçoit les voyageurs chez lui, cest vraiment un beau programme pour les voyageurs qui recherchent les endroits intouchés, hors des sentiers touristiques, avec des activites culturelles, naturelles et sportives. Durant la saison des pluies, les routes sont tortueuses et boueuses, les jeeps peuvent aller partout, mais les hôtes doivent être informés que les transferts peuvent être plus longs et fatigants. La marche n'est vraiment pas difficile, mais peut devenir plus sportive et glissante durant cette saison.
