JOIN THE FOREST RETREAT LAOS TRAIL TEAM

We are looking for adventurous people who would like to join our team in surveying and improving our trekking trails deep inside the Nam Ha National Protected Area before the wet season and high season begin.

This is a unique opportunity to experience real jungle trekking, support trail development, and be part of building something special.

Budget price: only USD 40 per day

We need to finish 3 important trips in April and May:

1. 10–11 April
2-day trek
Working on survival trails

2. 25–27 April
3-day trek
Working on survival trails

3. 5–7 May
3-day trek
Working on building a new camp at the Mountain View area

On September 9th, Typhoon Yagi hit Luang Namtha, northern Laos, causing devastating flash floods. Without warning, water was released from upstream hydropower dams, inundating dozens of villages and displacing thousands of families.

At 11 AM, I learned that the water in my old house had risen 8 meters above normal, quickly escalating to 12 meters. Many people spent days on their rooftops waiting for rescue.

To help those affected, through our UPLAO Foundation we have launched a flood relief fund. Please visit our website at www.uplao.org to learn more and contribute. Your support can make a real difference!

Tomorrow we have 2 people leaving on a exciting adventure with two days of trekking deep into the forest and a day of kayaking down the Nam Ha River. You will sleep one night in an ethic village where we will organize a homestay and a night in a jungle camp deep in the jungle.

We are working hard on finishing the new FRL office and Minority Restuarant. We will be ready for the new season to organize great adventures and serve you great meals from the same spot as before but all in a new outfit.
For now you can still book our tours online and from our temporary office accross the street from Dokchampa hotel, Luang Namtha.
