Hidden in the mountains of Xiengkhouang, Ban Na Phia transformed hardship into craftsmanship. During the Secret War, parts of crashed US aircraft and other war materials were collected and repurposed by local villagers to build a new livelihood โ€” creating handmade spoons and household products that are now known across Laos.

Today, visitors can witness this unique tradition firsthand, where skilled local artisans still produce thousands of spoons by hand every day, using techniques passed down through generations.
