The Rweiss Grotto is an impressive limestone cave located in Lebanon, measuring 6.5 kilometers in length. It is the country’s third largest grotto and is made up of three distinct layers. The Rweiss Grotto has been in existence for over a million years and has been explored since before Roman times. The grotto is named after Aras, the Phoenician god of war.

We will start our journey by exploring the Rweiss Grotto, visiting levels 1 and 2.
Level 1: An easy, educational tour through dazzling stalactites and stalagmites.
Level 2: For the curious and bold. Explore tunnels and fun obstacles underground.
After the grotto, we will take a bus to the Akoura Waterfalls for a refreshing swim.

📍Ain Zhalta.

🔎 Explore the Beauty of Ain Zhalta:

Al Shouf Cedar Reserve is known as the largest nature reserve in Lebanon. It is divided over three forests: Barouk forest, Ain Zhalta Forest and the smallest but oldest forest of Maasser al-Shouf.
Ain Zhalta (part of Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve and Shouf Biosphere), is on an altitude of 1250m to 2000m above sea level, and it is situated about 45km from Beirut.

Our hike will start from the entrance of the reserve. we will have a short uphill stretch until we arrive to the cedar trees and see half of the forest. Then, we will walk uphill until we reach the top of Ain Zhalta Cedar Reserve where we will be able to see the Bekaa Valley and Qaraoun Lake; the views from the top are out of this world.

You will enjoy the pleasure of hiking in the wonderful environment of Lebanon in Chouwen, mixed forests with oaks, pine and many other plant species, until we reach a beautiful lake called Jannat Chouwen.

Our hike will start from a campsite at the top of the area. We will descend progressively through wonderful pristine nature and pass through several beautiful waterfalls. Then, we will walk along the river to reach 2 tunnels and climb a small stairstep where the hike will end.

Daher El Baydar is a village in Mount Lebanon and has an elevation of 1,511 meters. It is situated nearby to the village Wadi el Doum and the town Hammana.
Daher el Baydar is 35 km away from the capital Beirut.

Our hike will start from Daher el Baydar. During our hike, we will pass through several tunnels that leads us to an old train station. We will take an off road to reach the Qaysamani Dam. Finally, we will end our hike at La Martine where we will have a small gathering around a warm bonfire and enjoy the sunset. This gathering includes drinking coffee and grilling Marshmallow.

🔎 Explore the Beauty of Qanat Bakish:

Qanat Bakish is a village in Mount Lebanon and has an elevation of 1760 meters. It is situated nearby to the villages Faqra and Baskinta. Qanat Bakish is 53 km away from the Capital Beirut.

Our journey will start first by visiting Faqra Site which has the Faqra Roman Temple and is the most extensive Roman Ruins in all Lebanon.
After that, we will head towards the largest light Cross in the Middle East in Qanat Bakish where our trail will start. We will take an off road to reach a cedar forest in Qanat Bakish and view some lakes.
Then, we will take a path along an uphill ending our hike with a gathering around a warm bonfire under the starry sky.
