We were honored to welcome Mr. Bechara El Alam, Brand Optimizer, as a guest speaker at our Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management.
With his extensive professional experience and strategic insight into brand development and market positioning, Mr. El Alam truly inspired our students. He shared valuable perspectives on how branding, innovation, and adaptability play a vital role in shaping successful careers — especially in the hospitality industry. His session highlighted how hospitality students can differentiate themselves, build strong professional identities, and create lasting impact in their future careers.
Following the session, Mr. El Alam had lunch with our Dean, Nour Rachkidi, at Le Gastronimique Restaurant, where he experienced the exceptional service provided by our talented first-year students under the guidance of their instructor, Mr. Joe Khoueiry.

After lunch, Mr. El Alam toured the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management alongside Dean Rachkidi and expressed his admiration for the outstanding facilities and hands-on learning environment offered to our students.

La Sagesse University – Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management was pleased to welcome Mrs. Pascale Selwan, General Manager of Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort, Beirut, as a distinguished guest speaker. The visit took place during a Casual Week at the faculty, adding a relaxed and engaging atmosphere to campus life.

Mrs. Selwan shared valuable insights into the hospitality industry, highlighting her professional journey, the challenges she overcame, and the keys to her success in reaching her current leadership position. Her inspiring talk motivated our students and provided them with practical guidance and a deeper understanding of excellence in hospitality management.

The visit was followed by a Sushi Day lunch with the dean, Dr. Nour Rachkidi, at the faculty’s restaurant, Le Gastronomique, where the meal was prepared and served by our talented students, showcasing their skills, creativity, and professionalism.

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management was honored to host Mr. Joseph Ajoury, CEO of Malak Al Taouk and Cheese On Top, along with his son Mr. Elie Ajoury, one of our distinguished alumni.

Mr. Ajoury and Elie met with students from different academic years, sharing valuable insights about the hospitality industry, its evolving trends, and the diverse job opportunities available for young professionals. Their engaging discussion provided our students with real-world perspectives and inspiring lessons drawn from their professional journey.

Following the session and a tour of the faculty, our guests enjoyed a delightful lunch with the Dean, Dr. Nour Rachkidi, at Le Gastronomique restaurant. They were genuinely impressed by the delicious food, and the attentive service, praising the talent and dedication of our students.

World Week of Italian Cuisine 2025 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management 🇮🇹🇱🇧

Sharing Italian culinary tradition at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Université La Sagesse with Chef , for the 10th Edition of the World Week of Italian Cuisine 2025.

Chef Maradona Youssef delivered a master class for our students, who then prepared a full Italian lunch for more than 300 guests and fellow students, a true hands-on learning experience rooted in creativity, technique, and passion.

We are proud that our Faculty at Université La Sagesse was selected among all universities in Lebanon to host the special official lunch with H.E. the Ambassador of Italy during this international week, a mark of trust and recognition for our academic excellence in hospitality management.

The lunch was held in the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of Italy, Fabrizio Marcelli, Prof. Georges Nehme, President of Université La Sagesse, Dr. Nour Rachkidi, Dean of the Faculty, along with faculty instructors and students.

A true honor to celebrate this international event at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and to bring our community together around the same table.

Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management is proud to have hosted the WSET Level 2 and Level 3 Award in Wines courses, led by the renowned Master of Wine, Mr. Matthew Stubbs.

This exceptional training program, organized in collaboration with Château Ksara, reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing wine education and professional development in Lebanon and the region.

Over the intensive sessions, participants deepened their knowledge of viticulture, winemaking techniques, and international wine styles, guided by one of the most respected figures in the global wine industry.

During the Fall and Spring semesters, every Wednesday, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management was proud to host a series of inspiring guest speakers from leading companies in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and travel.

These accomplished professionals shared valuable insights from their personal career journeys, spoke about the dynamic nature of their jobs, and offered practical advice to our students about entering and succeeding in the industry. The sessions also featured interactive Q&A segments where students engaged directly with the speakers, gaining deeper understanding of the field and its real-world challenges.

Students had the opportunity to submit applications directly to the HR representatives of the companies represented by our guest speakers for a meaningful step toward internships and future employment.

We are truly grateful to all our distinguished guests for their time, energy, and willingness to support our students’ academic and professional growth.
