Yad bi Yad (YbY) was established in 1996 by philanthropist Salam Kabbara El-Jisr with the mission of assisting local communities with business success, living standards and social cohesion in Lebanon. With several community centers in the Tripoli area, the NGO has over a decade of experience of successfully delivering results on several socio-economic fronts. Yad bi Yad translates from Arabic to “

hand in hand,” and the YbY approach derives from its name. It assembles stakeholders and donors and pairs them with decision-makers and experts to implement targeted programs in some of the country’s most impoverished areas.
