The villa is in a small and quiet village and only about a mile from a secluded beach. The lively nearby town of Ambalangoda has many things to see, including the famous mask factory and museum and an historical bell tower. Not far away can be found the longest reclining Buddha statue in South Asia, a moonstone mine and turtle and fish farms. Gangananda is only about two hours from Colombo and the airport (depending on the traffic) and Ambalangoda has railway and bus stations. The nearest hospital is only a few miles away in Balapitiya.
